Bringing home a new plant is always one of the most exciting parts of being a grower. Helping your plant acclimate to its new environment is vital for ensuring it thrives under your care. Here are a few simple tips to help you care for your plant and get growing right away.

Unpacking Your Plant
When your clone arrives, gently remove the pot from its shipping box and inspect it. Remember to handle the clone with care as it can be more fragile than it seems. A bent (not broken) stem or slightly dried-out soil aren't usually major causes for concern, and likely won't cause long-term issues.
Keep in mind that the plant has just been through a stressful transition and will likely need anywhere from a few hours to to a couple days to recover.
If there is major damage or you believe your plant will not survive despite proper care, please contact us at info@sun-clone.com as soon as possible. Include clear pictures of the plant with its strain label so we can assist you effectively.
Covering the Essentials
Consistency for first few days after arrival is key to your plant's successful acclimation.
Sun Clone plants are photo-period, meaning the amount of light they receive daily affects their life cycle. While the plants are with us, they are kept on an 18/6 light schedule, and anything less than 18 hours of light per day may trigger the plant to go into flower. The flowering process generally begins on the 3rd day after an adjustment.
If the soil looks dry or the leaves appear droopy, fully saturate the soil with water. If possible, use water with a pH between 5.5 and 6.0. pH test kits and tools to adjust your water's pH can be found at most grow shops and online.
Most strains thrive in temperatures between 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are growing indoors or in a cooler climate, consider using a heat mat or grow tent to maintain steady warmth.

Determining When to Transplant
Transplanting too early can interrupt a plant’s natural rhythm.
Give your clone a few days to adapt to its new environment before moving it into a larger container or permanent grow space. Look for signs that it’s ready like new leaf growth, strong color, and perky posture are all good indicators.
When transplanting, ensure the new container has adequate drainage and is filled with quality soil or your preferred grow medium. Avoid compressing the root zone too tightly. Water thoroughly after transplanting to help the roots settle into their new home.
Regular Monitoring
Once your clone is settled, make a habit of checking on it regularly. Look for changes in leaf color, spotting, curling, or slowed growth. These can be signs that something needs adjusting. The earlier you spot a potential issue, the easier it is to resolve.
